UPDATE: East and westbound lanes of East Tamiami Trail are now open.
Around 8:30 p.m. Friday Collier County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a head-on collision involving four vehicles at the intersection of East Tamiami Trail and Miller Blvd, 3 to 5 miles east of S.R. 29.
Deputies have closed down eastbound and westbound lanes of East Tamiami Trail for several hours.
FHP is responding to the crash. Drivers should avoid the area or take an alternate route.
