Grand Theft Arrest

A 58-year-old woman was arrested on a felony charge Thursday after deputies say she intended to shoplift a cart full of food and clothing from a North Naples Wal-Mart.

Guadalupe Herrera, 823 Flower Lane, Immokalee, was charged with grand theft.

Arrest reports say Herrera entered the Wal-Mart Supercenter, 5420 Juliet Blvd., around 1:30 p.m. A store loss prevention officer told deputies she watched Herrera load up a shopping cart with food, dog food, pants, swimsuits and other merchandise and then leave the store without paying.

Deputies say Herrera stole a total of 50 items valued at $326.46, reports said.
