Jr. Deputy Camp: A Proud CCSO Tradition

Collier County fifth-graders attending CCSO's Jr. Deputy Camp this week know the event is tons of fun and a great opportunity to interact with deputies.

What many may not be aware of is that this annual spring break event is a Collier County tradition that dates back to the early 1960s, when it was established by then-Sheriff Doug Hendry. This week Cpl. Dan Rogers, a CCSO Youth Relations Bureau deputy and son of another former sheriff, Aubrey Rogers, took time to talk about the history and success of Jr. Deputy Camp.
