Suspicious Incident in Golden Gate

Deputies are investigating a report of a suspicious incident in Golden Gate on Tuesday.

A 14-year-old boy told deputies that he was riding his bicycle in the area of Pebblebrooke Drive and Acorn Way around 5 p.m. when he was approached by a man he didn’t know in a red truck, sheriff’s reports said.

The man asked the boy to come over to his vehicle and then asked him for directions. The boy told the man that he didn’t know the location and continued riding his bike, reports said.

The man attempted to back up his vehicle and make contact with the boy, but was unable due to traffic, reports said.

Investigators said the man is described as white, about 30 to 35 years old, bald and with brown eyes. The truck he was driving was an older model Toyota.

Investigators have released this composite.
