UPDATE: S.R. 29, Part of Alley Reopened

UPDATE: The eastbound lanes of Alligator Alley from mile marker 101 in Collier County to mile marker 23 (tollbooth) in Fort Lauderdale have reopened to traffic.

The westbound lanes of Alligator Alley east of State Road 29 to mile marker 101 remain closed.

S.R. 29 has reopened to traffic in both directions.

Alligator Alley, Part Of S.R. 29 Closed

The Alligator Alley stretch of Interstate 75 is closed to traffic from mile marker 101 in Collier County to the toll booth in Fort Lauderdale.

There are multiple vehicle accidents along that stretch of the Alley due to poor visibility from the brush fire in the Big Cypress National Preserve.

State Road 29 from U.S. 41 East to Oil Well Road is also shut down.
