Adopt A Soldier Program Supported by Citizens, CCSO

The Coco River Post Office of North Naples presented the Adopt a Soldier program with a check for $1,200 Wednesday in front of the memorial at the Collier County Sheriff’s Office Headquarters in East Naples.

The donation will go toward the purchase of additional items and supplies to meet this year’s goal of 1,500 boxes. Another packing day event will be scheduled shortly as the boxes will be taken to the United Service Organizations (USO) in Jacksonville on Nov. 21.

Nineteen volunteers for CCSO’s Adopt a Soldier program gathered Saturday and packaged 775 boxes of items to mail out to soldiers currently serving overseas.
