Jr. Deputies Sponsor Kids Love Fishing

WHEN: Saturday, Feb. 20, 8 a.m. to noon

WHERE: Florida Sports Park

SUMMARY: Saturday morning will bring loads of fun sprinkled with some education for hundreds of children as the Collier County Junior Deputies League hosts “Kids Love Fishing.”

Beginning at 8 a.m. and continuing until noon, youngsters of all ages will use cane poles to land tilapia, bass, bream and catfish. Participants will also experience the thrill of a swamp buggy ride and petting an alligator.

"Kids Love Fishing" will wrap up with a free lunch. Each child will have his picture taken as a way to remember the day.

The event will take place at the Collier County Junior Deputies League, Inc.’s Camp Discovery at the Florida Sports Park.

"Kids Love Fishing" is free, although donations to the Junior Deputies League will be accepted.

All kids must be accompanied by an adult.
