Man Charged In Vehicle Break-Ins In NN, GG

A man who is on probation for car burglaries in East Naples last year was arrested this week and charged with multiple vehicle break-ins in Golden Gate and North Naples.

Danny Heu, 19, 1241 Carpazi Court, Apt. 2, Golden Gate, is facing multiple felony charges including burglary of an unoccupied vehicle, grand theft, and dealing in stolen property in connection with three vehicle break-ins in January and February.

Two of the break-ins were reported in the Vineyards in Golden Gate and the other was in the 1300 block of Corso Palermo Court in North Naples.

In all three break-ins, the vehicles were unlocked, deputies said.

Arrest reports say Heu stole two laptop computers and a camera from inside the vehicles, which he later sold at area pawn shops, among other items.

Heu is currently on probation following his conviction in connection with multiple vehicle burglaries in the Verona Walk community in East Naples in 2009, investigators said.

CCSO offers these tips to keep thieves out of your car:

* Always lock your doors.

* Don’t leave your valuables in plain view.

* Putting your purse behind the front seat or putting a wallet in your console isn’t hiding it from thieves.

* Only take what you need, whether it’s cash or a wallet. Leave the rest at home.

* Set your car alarm if you have one.
