Child ID Event In Everglades

The Collier County Sheriff’s Office Crime Prevention Unit and the Tamiami Trail Lodge F&AM will offer free child identification packets Sunday, May 9.

From noon to 4 p.m., residents can visit Masonic Hall, 210 Storter Ave. S., Everglades, to have their child fingerprinted and collect a DNA sampling. A packet with this content will be given to the families in case the child ever gets lost or goes missing.

Participants will also receive a free picture of their child as well as an 8 x 10 family photo and can enjoy free food, face painting and kids entertainment.
