Free Child ID Event Saturday

WHAT: Child identification and safety event

DATE: Saturday, May 15, 2010

TIME: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

LOCATION: Mall entrance to Dillard’s, Coastland Center, 1900 U.S. 41 N., Naples

SUMMARY: A trip to Coastland Center on Saturday will help equip parents with important child safety resources.

The Collier County Sheriff’s Office, National Center For Missing & Exploited Children, Florida Department of Law Enforcement, and Naples Police Department will offer free child identification packets to the public.

The event will also feature safety information, crafts and give-aways.

One of the most important tools for law enforcement to use in the recovery of a missing child is an up-to-date, good quality photograph, along with descriptive information.

Parents at Saturday’s event will receive a 10-digit fingerprint profile and a high-resolution full-color digital photo of their child that can be used nationwide to find missing and exploited children.
