CCSO, Golden Gate Residents Celebrated Safety

Deputies offered Golden Gate residents tips for keeping their community safe during Safety Fest over the weekend.

The event Saturday was hosted by Golden Gate Baptist Church, 2741 Santa Barbara Blvd., Golden Gate. It featured family-friendly activities, including free demonstrations from the Collier County Sheriff’s Office SWAT, Bomb, Aviation, K-9, and Traffic Safety bureaus. Representatives from Collier County Emergency Medical Services, Golden Gate Fire Department and several local businesses were also there to discuss their services to the community.

The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children offered child fingerprinting and offered free child ID kits. These kits provide parents information about their child in the event he or she ever becomes lost or missing.
