Deputies, Community Help Keep Immokalee Clean

The Collier County Sheriff’s Office recently targeted El Paso Trail for cleanup to help keep Immokalee an enjoyable place to live.

Immokalee community-oriented policing deputies, representatives from Collier County Code Enforcement, Immokalee Fire Department, Waste Management, residents, and others worked together to pick up debris including trash, furniture, electronics, tires, mattresses, and more.

During the four-hour event Saturday the group gathered 30.26 tons of debris and trash – enough to fill 15 Dumpsters!
