Keeping A Watchful Eye

Waste Management and the Collier County Sheriff’s Office partnered on the introduction of Waste Watch, a community safety program for Collier County. By partnering with local law enforcement and emergency services, Waste Management truck drivers will serve as an extra set of eyes and ears for reporting suspicious activities or emergencies to local authorities.

WM security personnel have trained the drivers to respond in the case of an emergency, and will now be aiding local emergency personnel to prevent dangerous situations from occurring.

Waste Watch is a beneficial program and an effective way to reduce crime, making neighborhoods a safer place.

Waste Management and its 147 employees in Collier County provide residential waste and recycling services to more than 100,000 residences as well as 3,500 commercial customers. More than 100 collection vehicles service the entire county six days per week.
