Two elderly siblings were found shot to death inside their
North Naples residence Tuesday and the Collier County Sheriff’s Office is
calling their deaths a probable murder-suicide.
Detectives say August Steen Jr., 85, likely shot his
92-year-old sister Edna Jarboe before turning the gun on himself.
A home healthcare worker discovered the bodies around 9 a.m.
inside the residence the siblings shared at 3615 El Segundo Court in the Village
Walk community.
An official cause of death will be determined after the
autopsies are completed by the District Twenty Medical Examiner’s Office.
An investigation continues.
