Kudos for Deputy Patrcia Villa continue to mount.
Here’s an editorial praising Deputy Villa for her recent lifesaving effort published in the Naples Daily News on Wednesday:
“Lifesaving effort ... deputy knew just what to do”
“Cheers for Collier County Sheriff’s Deputy Patricia Villa.”
“Villa, who used to teach first-aid classes for the American Red Cross, put those skills to optimum use the other day when responding to a call about a choking baby at a home in Golden Gate Estates.’’
“She worked on 9-month-old Avi Gomez, pounding his back repeatedly, until he choked up a piece of plastic.”
“Here is where we would say Villa deserves a gold star. But we’ll have to think of some other award. The piece of plastic that the baby choked on was a gold star.”
“Still, a very happy ending.”
