Boys and Girls Celebrate With A Star

Thanks to the generosity of Collier County Sheriff’s Office members and the community, the fifth-annual “Celebrate With A Star” program was tremendous success.

CCSO delivered a van filled with gifts for deserving students attending the Boys and Girls Club of Collier County. The contributions made by agency members and the community allowed more than 500 at-risk students to receive a gift during the BGC’s annual Holiday Festival celebration on Dec. 16.

The Boys and Girls Club of Collier County is a local chapter of the national nonprofit organization, Boys and Girls Club of America. The organization offers a safe environment that encourages the intellectual and emotional growth of students through various programs including the arts, technology, reading, athletics and life skills.

“The Boys and Girls Club has professional staff members who have been specifically trained to provide programs that are designed to keep youth on track, to help them create healthy habits, and to keep teens from making decisions that can cut off their future options,” said Boys and Girls Club of Collier County Development Associate Electa Saker.
