Deputies caught him and put him in jail, though, after video surveillance cameras caught him giving away more than $600 worth of merchandise.
Investigators say Corzo, 24, whose address was listed as 1190 Wildwood Lakes Blvd., East Naples, was arrested Wednesday and charged with grand theft.
Deputies say he didn't scan several electronic items valued at more than $625 for a customer while Corzo was working the cash register in the garden center.
