Deputies: Stolen Electronics Given As Gifts

A Golden Gate Estates woman stole electronic equipment from a North Naples store on three separate occasions in December, reports say.

Two 17-inch televisions valued at $300 each, a speaker system valued at $150 and two car stereos valued at $215 were stolen from the Target Superstore at 2415 Tarpon Bay Blvd.

Video surveillance showed a woman in her early 20’s driving a white 2001 Honda with a tag number of 862HP. After running the tag and looking at her driver’s license, deputies learned the owner of the Honda did not match the woman in surveillance footage.

Investigators were able to identify her daughter, Ailen Crombet-Sanchez, 21, of 1240 Everglades Blvd. N., as the woman who stole the merchandise.

Deputies spoke with Crombet-Sanchez and they believe she gave some of the stolen items to family members as Christmas gifts.

Crombet-Sanchez was charged with grand theft, petty theft and dealing in stolen property on Wednesday afternoon.
