Student Charged with Car Burglary

A teenage girl was arrested and charged after she broke into a car at an East Naples school in October, reports say.

Ivan Guillaume contacted deputies after someone had broken into his 1993 Toyota Camry at the parking lot of the Lorenzo Walker Institute of Technology, 3710 Estey Ave on Oct. 8.

Nothing was stolen but the door handle was damaged and it appeared that someone went through the glove compartment.

Investigators got a fingerprint off of Guillame’s car and the school’s principal identified Samantha Kepsel, 16, of 3381 2nd Ave. S.E., after viewing surveillance video of the parking lot.

Deputies tried several times to speak with Kepsel in November, but according to reports, she had run way.

Kepsel finally returned to Beacon High School and deputies charged her with burglary of an unoccupied car on Wednesday.
