Three Charged With Illegally Transporting Gas

Three men were arrested and charged Wednesday afternoon after deputies saw them filling up three 55-gallon drums with unleaded gasoline at a Golden Gate Estates gas station.

Maykel Espinosa, 25, 311 39th Ave. N.E., Golden Gate Estates, Reinier Perez Gutierrez, 24, of Miami and Remberto Blanco Martinez, 30, 2871 Second Ave. S.E., Golden Gate Estates, were seen putting gasoline into a semi-clear 55-gallon drum at the BP gas station, 384 Randall Blvd. Two other tanks were already filled and sitting in the back of their truck.

They had more than 160 gallons of fuel inside the drums.

It is illegal to use this type of drum while transporting fuel. The drums were also not properly secured for travel inside the bed of the truck.

All three were charged with unlawful conveyance of fuel.
