Motorcycle Stolen From Kitchen Found

A man was arrested early Friday after deputies say he stole a motorcycle that was parked in the kitchen of an Immokalee apartment.
Jesus Veliz, 31, of Felda was charged with grand theft.

Reports say Veliz was a passenger in a red pickup during a traffic stop at Carson Road and Westclox Street around 2:30 a.m. Another passenger told deputies that Veliz had just stolen a small motorcycle that was in the bed of the pickup.
Reports say Veliz earlier had gotten into an argument with his girlfriend at her apartment in the 700 block of Crestview Circle. While he was leaving, a man on a motorcycle arrived and went inside the apartment.

Reports say Veliz continued to be upset about the argument and that another man was in the apartment with his girlfriend.

Veliz returned to the apartment and left a short time later carrying the motorcycle, which he placed into the bed of the pickup.

Deputies contacted the motorcycle owner, who told them he had placed the bike in the kitchen and hadn’t realized it had been stolen.
