CCSO Seeks Public’s Help To Solve Arson

Tuesday, March 4, marks the one-year anniversary of the Immokalee trailer fire that claimed five lives and left five more people injured, and the Collier County Sheriff’s Office is reaching out to the community for new leads.

The blaze broke out at around 2 a.m. at a trailer at Cleve’s Trailer Park, 713 Second Ave. Killed were Emiliano Lopez Figaroa, 27; Adelmo Granado Ramos, 21; Pascuala Mendez, 34; Mendez’s daughter Luciana Vasquez, 14; and Mendez’s 7-year-old son Rodrigo Carrillo.

The deadly fire was the second at the trailer within two weeks.

Sheriff Don Hunter said the arson remains a priority with the agency.

“We’re still very interested in that crime,” Hunter said. “We’d like people to come forward and report any information whatsoever on that crime so that we might solve it and bring justice to the victims as well as justice ultimately to the person who committed this crime.”

There is a reward for information in the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for setting the fire. Anyone with information should call the CCSO at 775-TIPS or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-8477.
