A 19-year-old Collier County gang leader will be behind bars until he’s in his 50s thanks to a 30-year sentence imposed Monday by Judge Fred Hardt.
Jean Vitiello Pierre’s sentence in connection with a May, 2006, armed robbery at Ace Mart on Golden Gate Parkway will run consecutive to the eight years he received last month on an aggravated fleeing and eluding conviction.
Pierre and another man held up the store clerk at gunpoint, then made off with money from the cash drawer. CCSO investigators say Pierre is a top-level member of the East Jungle Gang and has a violent criminal history.
