Collier County Sheriff’s Office deputies are watching motorists to make sure everyone is buckled up in cars.

The annual two-week nationwide safety belt enforcement campaign ends June 1.
The fine for not wearing a seat belt is $73.50 in Collier County.
Safety belts save lives. Most of the people who die on Florida’s roadways are not buckled up.
So far this year in Collier, out of the 11 traffic deaths where a seat belt could have been worn, nine people did not wear one.
