Deputy's Memory Aids Arrest

A sharp-eyed deputy helped lead to the arrest of a North Naples man charged with using a stolen credit card.

Adam Davis, 30, 3298 Megan Lane, Apt. 2, is charged with fraud – illegal use of a credit card.

Davis’ arrest came after a CCSO deputy spotted him driving on Pine Ridge Road on June 30. The deputy realized that Davis and his vehicle, a green Saturn SUV, matched images he had seen in store surveillance photos more than eight weeks earlier.

Shortly after victim Natasha Prodanovic’s credit card was stolen May 1 it was used in the amount of $1 at the Kangaroo/Chevron gas station, 1000 Whippoorwill Drive, according to reports. It was also used May 1 at a Racetrac gas station on Pine Ridge Road, reports said. At the time, the deputy reviewed surveillance photos in an attempt to identify the card user.

When the deputy spotted Davis driving June 30 he ran the license plate. Reports say information obtained from that identification led to Davis’ arrest.

Deputies located Davis and placed him under arrest Tuesday.
