Start A Neighborhood Watch

Neighbors watching out for neighbors. That’s the program’s philosophy. There are easy steps residents can take to keep their neighborhoods safe, from asking a neighbor to gather your mail while you’re away on vacation to using lights as security. CCSO encourages that kind of community teamwork to protect neighborhoods from crime.

There are more than 100 active Neighborhood Watch programs in Collier County. The national program, created in California in 1972, has proven to be an effective deterrent in Collier neighborhoods.
