UPDATE: Wilson was booked into the Collier County jail Wednesday following his extradition from Michigan.
Original post:
A North Naples man was arrested June 29 in Michigan and charged with 130 counts of possession of child pornography.
The arrest of Kenneth Lee Wilson, 43, 1082 Fontana St., was the result of a Collier County Sheriff's Office peer-to-peer file-sharing investigation.
Investigators say Wilson's computer had images and videos of children, including a 1-year-old, engaging in various sexual acts.
After investigators tracked down the IP address associated with the computer files, they subpoenaed Comcast for the name and address connected with that address, reports said. Records identified Wilson as the owner of that computer. Investigators obtained a search warrant and seized Wilson's computer June 18.
As the investigation continued, Wilson fled to his father's home outside Grand Rapids in Kent County, Mich. The Kent County Sheriff's Office arrested him there Sunday. He will be brought back to Collier County to face prosecution.
Investigators say forensics work is still being done on Wilson's computer. If additional pornographic images or videos involving children are found charges could be added.
