Deputies: Man Broke Into 2 EN Businesses

Deputies arrested an Oklahoma man Sunday and charged him with burglarizing two East Naples businesses over the weekend.

Bobby Joe Harrison, 35, of Shatook, Okla., was charged with burglary and resisting arrest.

Arrest reports say Harrison was inside America’s Coin Laundry, 2795 Davis Blvd., when deputies responded to a security alarm around 12:44 a.m. Sunday. Harrison ran out of the business when he saw deputies, according to reports.

Harrison gained entry to the business by using a large piece of concrete to shatter the rear glass door, reports said.

Deputies located Harrison a block away outside his mother’s residence at 2959 Terrace Ave., where deputies identified him as the man they saw inside the Laundromat. Harrison told deputies he had been in Collier County for one week and was temporarily staying with his mother, reports said.

A search of a shed on his mother’s property and his car turned up nearly a dozen fishing rods and reels, along with cast nets, which had been reported stolen from Naples Wholesale & Retail Bait, 1696 Shadowlawn Drive, East Naples, early Saturday, reports said.

Store surveillance video showed Harrison inside the business around 12:45 a.m. Saturday taking the items, arrest reports said.
