CCSO is kicking off its Back to School Safety Countdown.
The seven-day countdown starts today, Tuesday, Aug. 12, and will give the Collier County community seven ways to think about school and traffic safety.
Look for CCSO banners reminding everyone that school starts Aug. 19.
The banners will be at the Collier County Government Center, Pelican Marsh Elementary School, Big Cypress Elementary School, Shadowlawn Elementary School, and Corkscrew Elementary School.
CCSO community service deputies' trucks will also carry the countdown message.

If you ride the bus to school remember to wait until it comes to a complete stop and look both ways for traffic before you approach it.
