A Solemn Escort

CCSO deputies along with deputies from other Southwest Florida Sheriff’s Offices participated in a motorcade Tuesday to escort the Dignity Memorial Vietnam Wall from Charlotte County to Collier County.

The public will be able to visit the three-quarter-scale traveling replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. Friday through Sunday at Naples Memorial Gardens and Cemetery on 111th Ave., North.

The wall is 8 feet tall and 240 feet long and carries the names of more than 58,000 servicemen and women who lost their lives in Vietnam.
