Deputies: Man Threatened Roommate With Rock

A 36-year-old man is facing a felony charge after he threatened to kill his roommate with a rock during an argument Thursday in East Naples, sheriff’s reports said.

Joseph Seymour, 4309 Rose Ave., #2, was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Arrest reports say Jaquanda Johnson, 25, told deputies that she and her roommate Seymour were arguing over rental issues in their front yard. The argument got heated and Seymour picked up a large rock, raised it over his head and threatened to kill Johnson, reports said.

Johnson told deputies that she feared Seymour was going to hit her in the head with the rock, reports said.

Seymour denied threatening Johnson with the rock, saying he picked it up in self defense, reports said.
