2 Charged With Robbery

Two men were arrested Sunday after deputies say they beat and robbed another man while he talked on his cell phone in Immokalee.

Christopher Peter Hamilton, 25, of Fort Myers and Sam Jean Hines, 19, of Miami were each charged with robbery, battery and petty theft.

Arrest reports say Telesfro Perez, 29, told deputies that he was walking along South 4th Street talking on his cell phone with his family around 7:15 p.m. when he was struck in the back of the head.

Perez told deputies he fell to the ground and Hamilton and Hines punched and kicked him multiple times, reports said. While he was being beaten, Perez said, an unidentified woman reached into his pockets and took his wallet, reports said.

Hamilton, Hines and the woman then ran north on South 4th Street and got inside a white four-door car that was waiting at the intersection at South 4th and Colorado Avenue, reports said. The car then headed west on Colorado, reports said.

A man told deputies he watched Perez get robbed and he got the license plate number on the white car, which he gave deputies.

Deputies located the car in the parking lot of a convenience store on West Main Street, where they also located Hines and Hamilton. Perez identified Hines and Hamilton as the men who robbed him, reports said.
