update: Two Children Found

UPDATE: Two children that ran away from their Golden Gate homes on Friday were found on Sunday.

Oscar Payes, 12, and Victoria Denton, 14, were found unharmed on Marco Island and were returned to their families on Sunday, investigators say.


Collier County Sheriff’s deputies are searching for two children that ran away from their Golden Gate homes Friday night.Oscar Payes, 12, and Victoria Denton, 14, are believed to be traveling together, deputies say.

The pair have been spotted together several times since Friday night. They were last seen on Marco Island Saturday afternoon but deputies haven’t been able to find them.

Payes and Denton have no means of transportation, investigators say. Investigators do not believe there is any foul play involved.

Payes is described as being hispanic, standing about 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighs about 120 pounds. He has short brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing baggy jean shorts and a white t-shirt.

Denton is white and stands about 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighs about 110 pounds. She has long brown hair that she usually wears in a ponytail and has blue eyes. She was last seen wearing jeans and a white collared shirt.
