3 Charged With Robbing Man In Immokalee

Deputies arrested three men on charges that they beat and robbed a man while he was walking in Immokalee on Christmas Day, making off with cash and a cell phone.

Juan Ramirez, 27; Carlos Roblero, 32; and Roberto Gonzalez, 26, all of 311 Colorado Ave., Immokalee, were arrested Thursday and charged with robbery and battery.

Arrest reports said Alejandro Lopez, 22, told deputies that he was walking east on Boston Avenue near the intersection of South 4th Street when he was approached by Roblero, Ramirez and Gonzalez. He said Gonzalez punched him in the face, causing him to fall to the ground, reports said.

Gonzalez, Ramirez and Roblero then went through Lopez’s pockets, removing cash and his cell phone, reports said.

Witnesses flagged down a deputy who was nearby and who detained the suspects until backup units arrived and arrested them.
