Traffic Stop Results In Drug Charges

A Miami man is facing a felony drug charge after deputies say they found narcotics and muscle relaxers in his car during a traffic stop Tuesday evening.

Samuel Enmund, 40, was charged with trafficking opium or a derivative and driving on a suspended license.

Reports say deputies pulled over the Acura that Enmund was driving near the 102 mile marker shortly after 8 p.m. because the license plate was not properly lit. During the traffic stop deputies learned that Enmund was driving on a suspended license, according to reports.

As deputies were taking inventory of the vehicle prior to having it towed they discovered that the air bag had been removed, reports said. Concealed in its place beneath the steering wheel were containers holding the following narcotics: 110 OxyContin pills and 645 oxycodone pills, according to reports. Hidden in the same compartment were 79 pills of the muscle relaxer Soma, reports said.
