Deputies are investigating a report of a woman who was attacked by a man while she was jogging in North Naples late Saturday night.
Deputies say the 24-year-old woman was jogging along Whippoorwill Lane near Reserve Way around 10:45 p.m. when a man jumped out from behind some hedges and attacked her.
The woman fought back and was able to get away safely with only minor cuts and bruises, deputies said.
Deputies described the man as Hispanic, around 30 years old, 5 foot 8 inches tall, and 170 pounds with unkempt short black hair. He was wearing a brown T-shirt and light colored shorts.
Deputies with K-9 tracking dogs searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect.
