UPDATE:
Deputies have located and arrested Gostabo Alonso, 18, 3156 Van Buren Avenue, East Naples, in relation to this incident. His mugshot will be posted as soon as it becomes available.
Deputies are continuing to investigate a shooting at an East Naples apartment complex on Thursday night.
Deputies were dispatched to a disturbance at the Naples Place apartment complex off of Bayshore Drive at 5:54 p.m.
When deputies arrived they found a man who had been shot once. The victim was alert, conscious and talking. He was transported to NCH Downtown Naples Hospital.
Deputies said the shooting stemmed from an altercation between occupants of neighboring units at the apartment complex. Witnesses reported hearing several shots being fired.
Witnesses told deputies they saw a man with a gun walking in the apartment complex before hearing gunshots. Witnesses also reported seeing the same man leave the apartment complex on foot.
Deputies were questioning a man who they believe is connected to the shooting late Thursday night.
No arrest has been made.
An investigation continues.
