An East Naples woman was arrested after deputies say she hit her boyfriend and his grandmother after threatening to burn their house down late Wednesday night.Brian P. Cook, 29, and Effie R. Meaready, 69, 6917 Johns Road contacted CCSO after Cook’s live-in girlfriend Kerrie L. Zimmerman, 24, threatened to burn the house down while holding a bottle of lighter fluid and a lighter.
Reports say that Meaready tried to call 911 but Zimmerman took the phone away from and hit her in the right arm. Zimmerman then hit Cook in the head with the phone when he tried to protect his grandmother.
She was charged with aggravated battery on a person over 65 years old, obstructing justice and battery.
