Detectives are investigating an armed robbery at an Immokalee grocery store Sunday night.
Detectives said two men entered Handy Food Store, 2902 Lake Trafford Road, around 11:30 p.m. and demanded money from the three employees who were inside of the store, according to sheriff’s reports.
One of the robbers displayed a gun. Both men wore black cloths that partially covered their faces, reports said.
The robbers ran out of the store, making off with an undisclosed amount of cash.
None of the employees were harmed, reports said.
Detectives said the robbers were described as wearing black shirts, blue jeans, 5 feet 4 inches to 5 feet 6 inches, and 140 to 145 pounds. They were possibly Hispanic and approximately 15 to 20 years old, reports said.
Deputies searched the area on the ground and in the air but were unable to locate the suspects, reports said.
An investigation continues.
