Man Charged In East Naples Bank Robbery

A man who deputies say was on sex offender probation was arrested Thursday night and charged with robbing IberiaBank in East Naples on Wednesday.

Jeffery Allen Parker, 48, 11265 U.S. 41 E., Unit 29, East Naples, was charged with robbery, grand theft and violation of state probation.

Sheriff Kevin J. Rambosk credited information sharing between law enforcement agencies and great detective work for bringing a speedy resolution to the case.

Deputies say a Parker entered the bank at 775 Airport-Pulling Road shortly before 11:30 a.m. He walked up to the counter and presented a teller with a note demanding money.

The teller gave Parker an undisclosed amount of cash and he left the bank. He did not display a weapon and no injuries were reported, deputies said.

The Collier County Sheriff’s Office immediately released a description and video surveillance photographs of the suspect. Shortly after the release of the information, CCSO was contacted by a Florida state probation officer who recognized the suspect.

State Probation Officer William Luttman told deputies that the suspect resembled Parker, who was under his supervision and was a registered sexual predator.

Bank employees identified Parker as the robber. Further investigation by deputies linked Parker to the crime, detectives said.

Deputies arrested Parker at his residence shortly after 8 p.m. Thursday.

“I would like to thank Mr. Luttman of the Florida State Probation Office as well as applaud the quick work of detectives not only for the investigative work, but the timely exchange of information between law enforcement agencies that helped lead to this arrest,” Sheriff Rambosk said.
