Estates Grow House Bust Uncovers $150K In Pot

WHAT: Indoor marijuana grow house

ARRESTED: Oskar Rolando Mayen, 36, 8067 Bibiana Way, Unit 503, Fort Myers

CHARGES: Trafficking in marijuana over 25 pounds
Possession of narcotic paraphernalia

SUMMARY: Deputies arrested Mayen and uncovered more than $150,000 worth of marijuana after executing a search warrant at this residence around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Deputies found that the residence was converted into an indoor marijuana grow operation. All of the rooms contained marijuana plants and equipment for growing marijuana including cooling units, high-intensity light bulbs, transformers and buckets, according to arrest reports.

Deputies confiscated 51 marijuana plants weighing 123 pounds. The marijuana had an estimated street value of $150,000, reports said.

The grow equipment had an estimated value of $15,000, reports said.

Mayen, who was at the residence when deputies executed the search warrant, was arrested and transported to the Collier County jail for booking, reports said.
