CCSO Helps With Free Child ID Event

The Collier County Sheriff’s Office, National Center For Missing & Exploited Children, Florida Department of Law Enforcement, and Naples Police Department offered free child identification packets to the public Saturday, May 15 at the mall entrance to Dillard’s, Coastland Center, 1900 U.S. 41 N., Naples.

The event featured safety information, crafts and give-aways. McGruff also made an appearance driving around the mall entrance in his patrol car providing safety tips to the public.

One of the most important tools for law enforcement to use in the recovery of a missing child is an up-to-date, good quality photograph, along with descriptive information.

Parents received a 10-digit fingerprint profile and a high-resolution full-color digital photo of their child that can be used nationwide to find missing and exploited children.
