CCSO Issues Awareness Alert to Recent Cruisers

The Collier County Sheriff’s Office is following with interest reports surrounding the recent arrests of a former Royal Caribbean sales staffer and her husband who are accused of using information about clients' trips to burglarize their homes while they were cruising.

The couple is accused of using her access to Royal Caribbean passenger addresses and sailing dates to break into homes in wealthy Florida neighborhoods such as West Palm Beach, Boca Raton, Jupiter, and Palm Beach Gardens, according to a Palm Beach Post story.

While CCSO doesn’t have any information to suggest any burglaries in connection to these arrests occurred in Collier County, deputies are asking residents who were on a Royal Caribbean cruise between November 2009 and June 2010 and had their home burglarized to contact the Collier County Sheriff’s Office at 239.252.9300.
