Detectives say Alexander Crain shot his parents, Tom Crain, 40, and Kelly Crain, 39. Deputies have recovered the weapon they believe was used in the shooting.
Alexander Crain has been booked and will be housed in the Collier County Juvenile Detention Center. The State Attorneys Office will determine whether he will be charged as an adult.
Detectives are continuing to interview witnesses and collect evidence.

Deputies Investigating Golden Gate Estates Shooting
The Collier County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that left two people dead in Golden Gate Estates this morning.
Deputies arrived at 4240 47th Ave. N.E. at around 8:40 a.m. They made contact with a juvenile who surrendered and was taken into custody.
Deputies searched the residence and found the juvenile’s parents deceased in the master bedroom.
At this time Crime Scene investigators and detectives from the Major Crimes Bureau and on scene and an investigation continues.
