Detectives are asking the public for information that could help with their investigation into a burglary at a Subway sandwich shop in Golden Gate on Monday.
Detectives are investigating a reported burglary at Subway, 5555 Golden Gate Parkway. The incident happened around 5 a.m.
The burglar entered the store through the front door and left out the back door, making off with the cash drawer from the register, according to detectives.
A suspicious vehicle was seen in the immediate area around the time of the burglary, detectives said. The vehicle, described as a silver Mitsubishi four-door sedan, was seen leaving the rear of the shopping plaza where the Subway is located and turning right onto Santa Barbara Boulevard.
Detectives said the burglary is similar to other burglaries reported at Subways around Southwest Florida in recent weeks.
