Homicide Investigation In Immokalee

The Collier County Sheriff’s Office charged a 31-year-old man with second-degree murder after deputies responded to a stabbing in Immokalee early Saturday.

Deputies were called to 302 North 18th Street shortly before 3 a.m. after CCSO received a call about a possible stabbing. Upon arrival, the victim was discovered on the kitchen floor with stab wounds to the chest.

Francisco Cruz, same address, was charged in the stabbing death of the man, investigators said.

Investigators are working to identify the victim. An investigation continues.
