At 6:48 P.M. this evening Collier County Sheriff's Deputies were dispatched to 5770 Seagrass Lane for a Suspicious Incident following a call into the Sheriff’s Communications Center.

Arriving a few moments later Deputies were told by a reporter that there were two people deceased inside the residence. Deputies conducted a welfare check and found the two victims inside the residence.

Based on the observations of these Deputies, this is being treated as a homicide investigation. The residence was secured, and Detectives are working to obtain a search warrant to continue the investigation.

Though positive identification is pending, it is believed that the victims were residents of this address. There are additional residents of the same address who are being questioned by Detectives now.

As this is ongoing and out of an abundance of caution, Sheriff Kevin J. Rambosk has ordered additional, logged patrols of the neighborhood throughout the night, and extra security for the school bus stop at the end of Seagrass Lane tomorrow.
