As part of Red Ribbon Week, CCSO, along with Collier County Police Activity League, Drug Free Collier and other organizations, participated in Everglades City School ’s inaugural Red Ribbon Walk on Wednesday. In addition to the walk, students heard from guest speaker Chief Scott Salley, who spoke about the importance of making good choices. Deputies were on hand to talk with students individually about the dangers of drugs. A pledge car was also available for students to sign, showing their commitment to live a drug-free lifestyle. Students in Collier County will be participating in Red Ribbon activities throughout the week.
