Pilot Club Donates 2 Project Lifesaver Receivers

Members of the Pilot Club of Naples met with Collier County Sheriff’s Office Lt. Drew Lee and other agency members at the Immokalee Substation to present the agency with two Project Lifesaver receivers.

Project Lifesaver is a nationwide program that helps locate seniors and children with medical or disabling conditions that may cause them to wander.

On average it takes 30 minutes to locate a person using the Project Lifesaver tracking equipment.

The receivers cost nearly $2,500 each and to date the Pilot Club has purchased eight of them, along with many Project Lifesaver transmitters, to CCSO.
