Nicholas Franco, 56, 5791 Shady Oaks Lane, was charged Friday afternoon with 50 felony counts of possession of child pornography after detectives found images depicting child pornography on his computer.
According to arrest reports, on May 1 a detective with CCSO’s Major Crimes/Exploitation Bureau identified child pornography files connected with an IP address in Collier County. That IP address came back to Franco’s home address.
A search warrant for that address was obtained and executed Friday. Detectives discovered 50 child pornography videos on a Dell laptop computer belonging to Franco.
Franco was arrested and booked into the Collier County jail.
A forensic examination of the Dell laptop and two additional computers found in the home and identified as belonging to Franco will be conducted and may yield additional charges, reports said.
